By default datamonster retain the last 30 versions of your information.

This means when you overwrite a document, delete one by mistake or get a virus you can easily go back in time and restore a clean copy.

To understand this better, imagine you backed up to a new Disk every day. At the end of the month you would have 30 Disks on the shelf allowing you to restore information from any of those days.

More people are talking about cloud storage. Many people confuse cloud storage and online backup as the same service which is simply not true.

Cloud storage is a method of storing data on a remote server. It simply duplicates what is held on your computer which in theory is a backup however its often a method of syncing so if a file or folder is deleted by mistake when the cloud does its next sync the file or folder is also deleted from the remote server.

An online backup is different for many reasons because we give you the ability to store back copies of your online backup we call this the backup cycle so if a file is deleted by mistake it can be restored by accessing the backup completed prior to you deleting the file or folder by mistake.

chatting to a graphic designer at the weekend who worked for a company that had backups of backups everything mirrored unfortunately they got struck by lightening and lost everything they managed to get a lot retrieved by sending their drives away but that took 2 weeks and cost £8000!!!!
